Self Portrait/Portriats
9/14/18
Reflection:
What was easy was creating these ideas to create these self portraits but what was hard was to attempt to display those ideas and also being limited with resource. But I did learn about using techniques to take the pictures. In the first image used a high, front angle by standing on a chair and slightly tilting my camera to get this effect. In the second image I used a low 3/4 angle and standing still, the camera was on a tri-pod and timed. In the third one is a normal front view angle with the camera method used for the second image. If I could redo the assignments perhaps I would use other objects or try something out of my comfort zone. This assignment was fun as we had the chance to show what kind of person we are based on some images.

Reflection
9/24/18
It was Reflection:
When making these images I decided not to use what's commonly seen when you hear the term "Reflection", making me see things that I normally interact with, differently. What was new was to have limits, go out of the box and use my surroundings as help to make the picture interesting. At first it was hard but with references and some planning it got easier. In the first image I went into my class in it's side room and took the picture without looking at the camera. The second image had a tripod used and a timer while I held a bowl filled with cut-out messages and a small battery light. The third one I took a close up image of a door nob that reflects a camera on a tripod and myself. It was hard to worth with the uncommon things but some how I managed to work it out. I would change the third image to make it be more in the center. It was fun doing new things.

EGG
10/11/18
Reflection:
I used the side room in the photography class and used a mirror with the flashlight of my phone under the egg. I used a ¾ back worms eye angle. I learned about how to use the angles of the lighting which or what makes a photo pop/interesting. What was hard was how what can I do that will make the image unique, and what lighting and which angles do I use it. What I was surprised was the number of ideas and I had and what I ideas was I able to create.I learned about how go use the angles of the lighting which or what makes an photo pop/interesting.

Photoshop Edit
11/15/2018
Reflection: I never used Photoshop to crop and edit images before but I have ha this type of experience with something like MS Paint for windows. it wasn't easy to learn the basics of Photoshop before doing the assignment but after a while I managed. Another struggle was what photo I've taken to be combined with a background, when the was solved editing/doing the work was simple, time consuming but simple. I liked this assignment because people get to be as creative as they could be when doing this assignment. If I could redo it I would maybe choose a more fun background instead of this eerie one.
Photography Lighting

My team and I have worked on this to learn about the different types of lighting and the impressions they leave on the final product. The struggle was setting up the stations to take these images and making sure everyone is okay with the pictures we've taken. It was a bit hard to take some images while one of our teammates was gone but she appeared and we wrapped things up. What was easy was communication and staying on task, working with these people was very fun. I wouldn't change a thing as I am happy with the product.
Double Exposure (PS)
11/30/2018
From the previous Photoshop assignment, I have learned about cropping and editing image, this was no problem at all, well for the silhouette of the person. It was hard to decide what to put behind, as a background and I wanted something that represented myself or something that I liked. In the end I picked the image of trees in the dusk. But doing this assignment was very fun and I enjoyed using the program again. If I could do it again then I would, and be more prepared for the background image.
Double Exposure (Layers with HDR Filter)
12/20/18
For this assignment what was hard was to take an image of myself, I can easily edit this image thanks to my teacher, I know what I needed to do and I came prepared for the background image as a reflection from the previous Photoshop assignment. The only thing hard was to get myself in that image, to see myself in it brings me some worries and doubts but I continued to edit this. And although the results are what I am proud of, I didn't enjoy being in it. If I could do his again I would but with someone else instead of me.
Shadow/Silouhette
12/22/18
Reflection: What worked well was the idea of a silhouette and shadow and I found out that type of lighting must be used for each of them but, it was hard was what kind of shadows could I use and who/what to use as my object.I had a fellow class mate hold up a piece of paper while a lap was directly casting light on the piece of paper and using a 3/4 angle to take the image. The second one was with the help of another classmate, I had her stand in front of those lights used in photo shoots. I had her facing to the side and had the light in a front angle. If i could do this again maybe I would work on the shadow to get a more interesting image. It may not look like it but it was hard to think what I can do with a shadow.
Food Productivity
Taken 1/09/19
This assignment was very sweet, I much enjoyed working with food and I learned about food placement and how to make the food product more delectable than it already is. The lighting was the only struggle, since the room was very crowded and I needed to work with what I have access to. In the end I managed to take some interesting images with an unexpected result. I used a method of close ups and a few low and high angles we taking these images and carefully placing each chocolate treat. Originally I wanted a plain white background but I am very happy with what I've gotten. I wished I'd take more images and maybe have some steady hands. Even though I had a tripod some images had to be taken by hand.
Cupcake Wars Challenge
01/17/19
A simple cupcake, when we did this assignment during midterm finals. It was hard to think of a place to take the image and what to do with it overall. I decided to make the cupcake look all eaten up behind a kitchen. I used a front semi- worms eye and low angle view, I thought it was neat. I had no issues other than that, everything went nicely with the placement and angle and the natural lighting really made it cooler. If I could do it again maybe I would include more cupcakes.

I used my phone for this assignment instead of doing it with my camera in a high profile point of view of the plant. Though I think the quality of the image feels to have affect in a negative way, but as long as the understanding of this assignment is set then it is okay. If I could re do the image then I would choose my camera instead of my phone. Overall this assignment was simple and fun.

Spring Clipart
03/05/19
With the clip art assignment I choose the theme of what a student’s life would be like during school hours, I used my phone to take the pictures so no one would notice that I’m even taking them, and so I would be in the middle of a conversation or class or walking around the school and decide it would be a great idea to take a picture because at the time. I thought “I think people are more likely to take pictures that are still” so I took them while there was some movement or little movement. So a variety of angles and points of view were used in this assignment.
Life Documentary
03/22/19
The documentary, I decided to use the previous idea but put more of myself into it, it wasn’t easy to come up with something like this because to me my life was busy or unimportant but I decided to let it be and took pictures of what would happen in my life. Some high and low angles were used as well as front ones. Points of view depended on the social situation I was in to avoid the disturbance of making things look natural.Thinking of what images to take was the hardest part but I enjoyed the assignment overall. I wished that I tried things differently like pictures of what happens at home instead of at school. Perhaps add different points of view to spice it up.
Photogram (Darkroom/manual process)
04/08/19
In this assignment we had the chance to work in the darkroom and use 3-dimensional and 2-dimensional objects. These objects were placed where they could fit on the piece of paper while in the dark. I messed around and wanted to work with more translucent objects and opaque ones. What was hard was to get the photo paper to have a good black color as a background but there were some hesitations of leaving it too long in the solution and it was hard to tell with all the darkness. It was fun working and placing objects because you never know what they end up looking like. If I could redo this then I would leave the photo to darken more. I will use this knowledge for a future assignment.
Silhouettes (With a manual process)
04/29/19
Once more we had worked in the darkroom, we used silhouettes from previous photography assignments to make a manual double exposure. Like the previous assignments we used random objects and placed it on the background either inside of the silhouette or around. I gained some awesome results when I did this assignment. And thanks to my previous experiences and after many trials and errors I managed to do it right. The only thing that was hard was working in the dark and keeping track on time.
